PMC Company is a consulting company that since 1992 provides their client with the complete project management – from the initial idea to its implementation. We worked on more than 620 investment projects. Our contribution in development of Business zones and Free Zones are physical and financial appreciable in many local communities in Croatia.

The director of our company mr. oec. Miran Cofek, dipl. ing. stroj. has high professional experience as a manager in the definition, preparation and implementation of business and development projects, and obtaining state, local and port concessions. He graduated from the Faculty of Engineering, followed by specialization in industrial project management at the International Institute for Management - Maastricht - Netherlands in 1990, (specialization for feasibility studies and cost / benefit analysis, investment and development programs and project management to the European Union for applications to EU funds and master's degree in science in economics at the University of Zagreb in 1996 (validation). He began his career in the company Torpedo Rijeka in 1982, continued in the Croatian Chamber of Commerce - County Chamber of Rijeka in the Department of Development and the Department of banks and other financial organizations since 1988.

Director of our company and his associates started to work on port of Rijeka free zone concession from 1992. As the result of his work on Investment and development projects in Rijeka, Mr. Miran Cofek was nominated as the Assistant Minister in Ministry of economy in Zagreb on July 1996. He established state authority responsible for development of Free Zones in Croatia and designed existing Law on Free Zones in Croatia. During his mandate, the Croatian government established 5 Free Zones according to the Law on free zones: Port of Rijeka Free Zone, Zagreb Free Zone, Osijek Free Zone, Krapina Free Zone and Kukuljanovo Free Zone near Rijeka. Until now, Croatian Free Zones which employ 7.620 employees was invested around 269.000.000 Euro. We also work in other investment sectors in tourism and industry, along the whole territory of the Republic of Croatia, many investments in other Business, Industrial and Touristic zones in Croatia. Mr. Miran Cofek, PMC's general manager from 2000 to 2002 was employed in Luka Rijeka as Chief Executive Officer. During his mandate, many important projects related to port concessions and transport and technological reorganisation of port were done. He stipulated agreements with the main Europian container shiping companies BLG, Contship, Eurokai and Maersk. These companies and other arrival companies increased the capacities of transport of containers through the Port of Rijeka from 9.000 TEU in 2000 to 146.000 TEU (containers) in 2007 (for 16 times).
